Our Garden
At Little Treasures we have a large garden area, which is used in a variety of ways, including, Bikes, Digging, Growing Flowers and Vegetables, Arts and Crafts, Construction, Play dough (which the children make), Snack, Roleplay, as well as Quiet times. Structured activities can also be held outdoors if the children wish to remain outdoors. The garden has a large tarmac area that the children can create various scenes on for use with bikes & vehicles. There is also a sand pit as well as ongoing water activities. The garden has a Jungle Gym for the children to play on; this area has bark surrounding it to ensure the safety of children. The garden has a large area of grass for children to play a variety games on as well as a Summer House which can be used for a variety of purposes including roleplay, story time and entertainment, as the children can often be found ‘putting on their own shows’. There is an area where the children can dig and explore the earth and the many insects as well as a separate growing area containing a selection of plant pots where the children can grow a variety of flowers and vegetables. The nursery provides waterproof suits, which allow the children to go outdoors in all weathers as well strongly belief it is beneficial to children to be outdoors as much as possible.
